Description of PixelLab:

This is a software i wrote to incorporate a few features i would have liked in a photo-editing software. Although this does have many of the standard features that are expected, it also provides a few levels of flexibility dealing with image manipulation not available in standard image editing applications. ? Offers unlimited compositing possibilities. ? Opens a wide range of image formats, with support for scanning images/text. ? Save images to a number of image formats with inbuilt support for image depth, quantisation and compression. ? Opens and saves custom project files. ? Standard painting, retouching tools and image manipulation tools. ? Painting tools with a lot of options for solid fills, hatch fills and texture applications. ? Standard selection tools with various combination modes. ? Ability to split image channels to individual R,G,B,A components for editing. ? Multiple layers from bitmaps, clipboard, selections or custom types. ? Layer effects like drop shadow, glow.
? Apply on-the-fly transformations to image/individual layers like scaling, rotation, skew, deformations etc.
? Create/edit masks to apply various effects. ? Various filters to add special effects. ? Create B¨¦zier paths, render to image or use to apply tool strokes, fills, gradients, selections etc. ? Variety of resampling filters to resample images to various sizes. ? Support for color reduction and quantisation. ? Online help. ? Import Movie/Video frames. ?
